Kays Update

So there’s a lot going on in The Kays Lavelle’s world at the moment.  We are playing a show for Leith FM at the Queen Charlotte Rooms in Leith on Friday 26th February.  Also playing that evening are the wonderful White Heath, so do come along as it promises to be a wonderful night of music.  That day we will also be popping into the Leith FM studios for a chin wag so if you tune in about 3.45pm you’ll be able to listen in and maybe even hear the playing of our new single ‘The Hours’.  The single will be officially released soon as a free digital download over on Wiseblood Industries website.

In other news, the hours will be getting played this Saturday on The Waitingroom Radioshow, a rather fabulous show based in Wales and run by DC and his good woman.  That’s very exciting news as I’m a big fan of their show and what they do for underground music.    In addition to this, the track has been included in Bearfaced Records 12th Podcast entitled The Year Ahead.  We’re on there with the likes of Frightened Rabbit, Meursault and Lightspeed Champion so that’s pretty exciting too.  I’ve also just been told that the hours has been included on Jim Gellatly’s latest podcast over at Radio Magnetic. You can catch that here.   A big thank you to DC and Tom from Bearfaced Records and of course Mr Gellatly for taking note and pushing the single forward.

Full speed ahead now towards the album launch nights, which look like being Friday 7th May in Glasgow and Saturday 8th May in Edinburgh.  The official album launch date is pencilled in as being May 17th.  Time to up the game and get everything in order.  Exciting times.
